Victory over the Virus
Main Scripture Romans 8:28
For the past 2 weeks the recent Corona Virus has changed so many different elements of our lives. From not physically going to school and having to engage in E-Learning, to not being able to hangout with friends as much an specifically for us not being able to meet at Church. While this virus as seemed to control many different elements in our lives this virus doesn’t “own” us. I have refrained from writing specifically on the virus for several weeks now because it seems to be all that we hear about. But I have been silent long enough, I have felt as if God wants me to share a word from him on the state of the virus and how the victory was won on Calvary’s Cross over two thousand years ago.
For those who find themselves in Christ then Jesus “owns” you and your future. Not the virus. Therefore, whom shall I fear? If the God of angel armies is on our side then this virus is to not be feared. With that being said I believe we should respect the guidelines in place due to the virus to protect the safety of one another but praise God the battle has already been one. “I’ve read the back of the book (Bible) and we win!” Long before the world was ever created God knew that this virus was going to happen, he has allowed this to happen.
Hopefully today’s devotion will encourage you to realize that this current situation can be used to glorify God. How you may ask?
- Use this extra time to spend more time with God!
- Spend more time with family and grow with them!
- Use this time to allow the Holy Spirit to make you more like Christ and prune out the things in your life that don’t glorify God!
Satan wants nothing more than for you to feel defeated during the Corona Virus. He wants you to be distracted by everything else going on that you don’t focus on Christ and your relationship with him. Why don’t you take victory over satan today? Why don’t you spend more time with God? Why don’t you grow in him? Satan doesn’t want you to share what God is teaching with others. He wants you to be silent. Take a stand, live in the victory of Christ. Share what God is doing in and through you even through a difficult time that the Corona Virus has brought. If we can’t share what God has done for us to other believers Christ than how will we tell those who don’t have their faith in Christ? Don’t let Satan have victory over you today, in Christ Jesus you are a winner through his blood.
“And we know that all things work to the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to his purpose.”-Romans 8:28
All things work to the good of those who love the Lord. We have already won the war through Jesus, now today let’s go win the battle that is before us. Whatever you face today fight the battle through the power of Christ and share the victory with others to glorify God. Motivational thought for Monday: Keep fighting for what Christ died for, this is the good fight. #TeamJesus
