Fully Trusting God & Seek His Will in All You Do
Main Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust me!” That’s a statement that we hear often but how many times is that trust broken? It is very hard to trust someone when that trust has been broken before, isn’t it? But you know what is awesome, God NEVER breaks that trust!
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.”
Take a minute to think about how many times a day you trust God and look to Him for guidance in a situation or decision. Now, think about how many times you don’t. Which is greater? We, yes even I, struggle with trusting and seeking Gods guidance on a daily basis.
Now, I want you to take a minute and think about a time when you really had to seek Gods guidance. If I am being honest, my biggest “God trusting and God seeking” moment would have to be during my Uncle Johns battle with cancer. I begged and pleaded with God more times than I can count. But I had to really learn how to fully trust God and seek his guidance through it all. The path I had longed for, was for my uncle to be here on this earth cancer free with me, but Gods plan was much bigger and so much greater than mine. I may not still fully understand it and I still have to seek Gods guidance when I find myself questioning “why”, but I just have to lean on God and trust in Him because He sees the bigger picture and purpose for our lives.
So, I have a question for each of you reading this and for myself, are we fully trusting God if we are still trying to go day by day thinking how we can plan our life and not looking to God for guidance in every decision we make?
My challenge to you and to myself is to fully put your trust in God and seek his guidance throughout every decision you make… today and every day.
