I Can Only Imagine

Main Scripture: Revelation 21:11-26

I want you to take a second and read Revelation 21:11-26 and then I want you to close your eyes. When you close your eyes, I want you to imagine this scripture and imagine what you will see and how you will feel when you enter the gates of Heaven. Think about what the scripture says, the gates of Heaven are solid pearl and the streets are pure gold. The city it bright, “dazzling and crystal clear like a precious jasper stone.” Let’s take it a step further, imagine when you come face to face with the ultimate judge and he says, “well done my good and faithful servant.”  How do you think you will feel? I have had the song I can Only Imagine by Mercy Me stuck in my head this week and have probably played it over 100 times and it just gives me chills every time! Think about the chorus:

“Surrounded by You glory

What will my heart feel

Will I dance for you Jesus

Or in awe of You be still

Will I stand in your presence

Or to my knees will I fall

Will I sing hallelujah

Will I be able to speak at all

I can only imagine

I can only imagine”

Can you imagine? Just think, what we imagine Heaven to look like and feel like will never live up to the reality of what it truly is. It will be like nothing we have ever imagined, and I can’t wait! How about you? I can only imagine.

* If today you can’t say with 110% certainty that when you die (because we all will) you will go to Heaven, I strongly encourage you to reach out to Brady or Preacher Larry, you can even reach out to me. Today could be the day you know with 110% certainty! I wouldn’t go another day not knowing because we are never promised tomorrow.

Love and Blessings,
