Contentment in Your Season
Main Scripture: Deuteronomy 31:6
Have you ever been unhappy where you were in life? Maybe you have a list or a timeline for the life that you want and when you want it.
Maybe you wish you had a significant other, or you wish that you had a different family, or that you were finally accepted by the people that are most liked at school.
It can be hard to find satisfaction in tough situations, but I am here to tell you that God uses hard situations for his glory, and there is no “timeline” or “list” with God.
We often want to assume that our version of good is the same as God’s version of good.
We can find ourselves writing the plans for our life but how often do we give it to God and allow for him to write our future. We often compare ourselves with others and often compare our lives as if they should be the same as someone else. We often lose sight of the mission and the purpose that we have on this earth and that is to serve our one true king.
There are many different seasons of life.. fear, heartache, depression, confusion, shame, hurt, brokenness, suffering, love, and the list could go on.
We are ALWAYS in a season! What season are you in?
No matter what season you are in, remember this verse. It has stuck with me for many years in my life.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 ESV
This verse shows us that no matter what we are going though or what season we are in that God is always with us and that he will never leave us. We have a purpose and that is to serve the most high but also to follow the purpose and plan that he has for our life.
